The Cake ~

 

As your wedding cake designer at Design My Cake By Patty, I  not only create edible art uniquely to you, I have a passion for baking and experimenting with flavors that pair well together. I'm definitely not a vanilla/vanilla type of person. I'm the one who will pick the most out-of-the-ordinary flavor at an ice cream shop or cupcake shop. Drawn to giving your palate a wonderful experience, I offer a selection of flavors that you may not have seen or tried at your local bakery.

For your wedding cake, I highly recommend choosing a different flavor combination for each tier, so your guests may have a choice of flavors. Some bakeries will charge an additional fee for additional flavors. This choice is at no extra cost to you because I am happy to provide you and your guests flavor options.

 

The Experience ~

I am dedicated to giving you a personalized, one-of-a-kind experience. In order to do so, I commission limited wedding cakes each month so I am able to fully focus on you and dedicate 100%  absolute attention to every detail of your cake. ​My haute couture designs have been graced in several magazine features such as American Cake Decorating Magazine, Pennsylvania Weddings Magazine and have won several awards for their style and elegance. Mostly recently, I have been awarded​​

​​Pricing: 

​Wedding Cakes - There are endless possibilities when it comes to size, shape, and decorative finishes which can further affect the price of a cake. My wedding cakes start at $1200. While my pricing model is by project not per serving, to give you a general idea, my wedding cakes typically average at $15-$20 per serving.

Kitchen Cakes - If your guest list exceeds the capacity of 80 servings or more tiered cake, we can offer an additional service cake(s) which are a three layer sheet cake, the same flavor as your tiered cake and delivered to the kitchen of the venue. Kitchen cakes are not decorated, however the slices will look the same as the tiered cake. Kitchen cakes are less expensive at $10 per serving. Kitchen cakes are only available when also ordering a tiered cake with a minimum of 80 servings.

 

Intimate Wedding Cakes - If you are planning on an intimate wedding with a guest list of 40 or less, I can create for you an elegant one or two tiered wedding cake with the  addition of other sweet treats to meet the required minimum. ​

Cake Consultation/Tasting:

​The process begins with a design consult and cake tasting once I receive your inquiry form and confirm the date availability. At the consult, we will discuss your vision and go over options. This is an opportunity for me to get to know my clients on a personal level which greatly influences the wedding cake design. The cake consultation is $50 and includes a luxury cake tasting box with six of our cake flavors of your choosing and an hour of time to meet for the design consult. ​​
